Jud Holt, CEO
Jud is a respected industry leader with over 25 years of experience in the eDiscovery space. For most of that time Jud worked as a service provider, with roles as chief operations officer, VP of sales, and CEO. After all this time in the technology space, Jud has come to believe that the most important lesson in business is protecting and promoting your most important assets – the people themselves.
Outside of work, Jud and his wife have been chasing their children to soccer and volleyball tournaments all over the western United States, which he loves. It combines his two favorite things, sports and his kids.
Patricia Gardner, COO
Patricia brings her unique experience in both the legal and tecnlology spaces to the forefront of her profession. Leading a dynamic team of industry leading professionals covering all aspects of the eDiscovery life cycle including forensics and project management, data management and analysis, managed review, production, etc.
Stagnant is not a word that most people would apply to Patricia. Just because we’ve always done it this way doesn’t mean that there isn’t a better way to do it. Conversely, just because we can do something doesn’t mean that we should. Patricia’s focus is the big picture and forward thinking.

How you do something is how you do everything. That’s a cornerstone belief at Lucent. In this era, many of the larger firms delegate a substantial portion of their workload to junior employees, and it shows. We don’t do that. Lucent distinguishes itself by adhering to a philosophy that values every detail of every matter, regardless of its scale. We’ve found that when you add up the attention paid to all the small things, that’s what ends up making a big difference.
Our Clients
Most of our clients don’t particularly like to be splashed on the pages of their vendors’ websites. We understand. Lucent works with clients in the Fortune 500 and Amlaw 200, as well as some smaller firms. Typically, our clients are very experienced in the space, they have worked with some of the world’s largest providers and they’re looking for something different or, in their words, something better.
We have successfully completed multiple engagements with Fortune 500 companies, working both with internal legal departments and outside counsel.
Some of our most solid relationships are with Amlaw 200 firms, relationships that go back years and sometimes decades.
